Masters (Research & Coursework) and Doctorate Bursary Packages 2018: COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES
 
The College of Humanities is offering a limited number of bursary packages to full-time and part-time Masters (Research and Coursework) and Doctorate students.
 
Applicants should be registered or admitted for Masters or Doctoral programmes in the following six Schools within the College of Humanities: Applied Human Sciences; Arts; Education; Built Environment and Development Studies; Religion, Philosophy and Classics; and Social Sciences.
 
Eligibility and criteria:
• Open to all full-time and part-time Coursework Masters, Research Masters and Doctoral students who are within the minimum time of completion, and did NOT previously receive the same grant for their current qualification.
• Previous academic performance will be considered for newly registered students.
• Substantial progress must have been made by returning students.
• A budget must be provided (See application form). This can include fees and dissertation expenses for course-work Masters; and data collection and analysis for research Masters and Doctoral degrees. No conference funding and no travel external to South Africa will be considered.
• A note on progress is required for Research Masters and Doctorate applications and Coursework-Masters where the student is engaged in the dissertation component. A supervisor’s comment can be included (See application form).
• Merit, equity and need will be taken into consideration.
• Priority will be given to students who have NOT received other funding grants, bursaries or scholarship packages for 2018.
• Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
 
Please note that correspondence will only be entered into with successful applicants and No appeals will be considered.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
