NSFAS Funding for 2018

Dear Students

Please be advised that UKZN is still awaiting a list from NSFAS of students funded for 2018.  NSFAS will also notify students by SMS if they have been funded for 2018. 

NSFAS has advised that funding decisions for renewal students will only be made for students who signed their NSFAS agreement forms for 2017.  NSFAS will place funding decisions on hold for students who have not signed their 2017 agreements and will only finalise their 2018 funding after they have signed their 2017 agreements.

As soon as Student Funding receives lists of funded students from NSFAS, the funding data will be loaded on the ITS System and students will be notified accordingly by SMS.  Students who do not have arrears fees will then be automatically cleared for 2018 registration.

It is anticipated that NSFAS funding lists can be expected towards the end of January (before On Campus registration commences).

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
