2018 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET)Programme applications have opened

 

 

The Government of Japan is calling for applications from young South Africans who would like to spend at least one year in Japan as Assistant Language Instructors (ALTs) under a highly successful international exchange programme for university graduates.

 

 

Basic Requirements:

•             A Bachelor’s degree in any field

•             Be a South African Citizen (to be able to apply through the Embassy of Japan in South Africa)

 

Process:

•             Application forms are now available on the Embassy website:

•             Application Deadline:  Friday 10 November, 2017.

•             Jan/Feb 2018- Tests and interviews in Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Interviews are strictly done face to face - no telephonic or Skype interviews will be permitted.

•             April/May 2018- Short listing

•             July 2018 – Departure for Japan

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
