The Graduate School of Business and Leadership seeks to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated individual committed to quality teaching, research and community engagement in the field of Regional and Local Economic Development. The successful applicant will join a specialized team of staff and postgraduate students dedicated to promoting Regional and Local Economic Development through teaching, practitioner research, and innovative knowledge sharing. The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) sponsor the RLED Programme. This post is only available to South African citizens or permanent residents of South Africa.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (objectively measurable from CV)

 

Senior Lecturer

  • Relevant doctoral degree;
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience in the discipline at a higher education institution;
  • Evidence of excellence as a researcher within the discipline;
  • Track record of successful research supervision of Masters and/or PhD candidates;

 

Advantage:

 

•          Experience of running LED projects

 

There are no benefits attached to this appointment. Appointment to this position will be on the UKZN prevailing fixed term rates. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
