SANtHE Path-to-Indpendence Awards

The Sub-Saharan African Network for TB/HIV Research Excellence (SANTHE) provides Path-to-Independence Awards designed to help promising junior researchers in the network develop their respective careers as principal investigators.

Each award will provide up to $100,000 for direct costs (no indirect costs allowed however direct administrative costs are permissible).

 

TERMS:

  • Awards will be given to individuals who have been given an academic or research appointment at an established African institution of higher learning or research institute (senior post-doctoral fellows will only be considered if they have institutional support which guarantees academic or research appointment).
  • Applicants must be African nationals working in any of the SANTHE sites (partner or collaborating sites in Africa).
  • Applicants should have some post-doctoral experience and must be within 7 years of being awarded a PhD degree at the time of application.
  • Only researchers working in the fields of HIV or tuberculosis need apply.
  • All activities must be completed within two years of receipt of project funding.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
