Two (2) Small Masters Level Research Grants 
 
The aim of this call is to encourage Masters level research in the area of civil society campaigns in South Africa. Applicants must be registered within SOBEDS with proposed dissertation topics focused on current civil society campaigns. 
 
Successful candidates will be required to complete their MA dissertations within the prescribed
time-frames. In addition, they will be required to produce short reports based on their main findings under the CCS Working Paper series. Candidates will also be expected to participate in CCS activities including seminars.
 
 
Applicants should submit (1) CVs and (2) Transcripts under cover letter to Melanie Reddy (reddys2@ukzn.ac.za). 
 
The cover letter should briefly outline the following: 
 
(a) Proposed topic detailing the civil society campaign under study e.g. Fees Must Fall, Save South Africa,       Right2Know Campaign etc. 
 
(b) Proposed theoretical framework to be applied e.g. social movement theory, theories of participation,             infrapolitics, theories of counter-hegemony etc.
 
 
 Closing date for applications: 10 August 2017

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
