The Centre for Civil Society (CCS) aims to advance socio-economic and environmental justice by developing critical knowledge about, for and in dialogue with civil society through teaching, research and publishing.

 

The successful incumbent will report to the Director and should be familiar with research processes and designing / maintaining websites and data bases. He / she will undertake to provide support to the CCS Website in respect of: social media platforms, editing online reports, creation of newsletters, updating data concerning the ‘Social Protest Observatory’ and ‘Xenophobia Watch’ and be able to create and establish data bases relating to Civil Society.

 

The position is part-time (5 hours per week) and post graduate students are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Current Postgraduate Students in the field of Development Studies or the Social Sciences
  • An undergraduate degree
  • Relevant experience
  • Proven research and data base management skills
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
