Postgraduate study in Adult Education
ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS:
Does your work involve educating adults, informally or formally?
Do you do community development work?
Do you run workshops for adult participants on anything from environmental issue to HIV?
Are you involved in staff training or skills development?
Are you interested in adult literacy and basic education?
Do you work at a TVET College or adult learning centre?
Do you want to work in the new AET system/community colleges?
Do you think you need to know more about how adults learn, and how best to teach them?
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then postgraduate studies in Adult Education is for you. Masters and PhD programmes in adult education are offered to part-time students on the Pietermaritzburg campus of UKZN School of Education. Contact sessions for our coursework Masters take place on Saturdays, or in block sessions during school holidays; and we offer a cohort programme for our research Masters students.
