The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music is proud to present Siphamandla “Paras” Dlamini on Wednesday 11 May 2016 at 18:00.

 

Siphamandla Dlamini, also known as Paras, is an energetic Ubuntu Soul Africa Music Crooner whose style blends ethnic / tribal sounds with modern day jazzy sounds. His music is influenced by Isintu to create a unique Afro-Centric Contemporary style of music, in which he blends various complementary genres, creating what he calls ‘Ubuntu Soul Africa.’ Some of his musical influences include Themba Mkhize and the late Busi Mhlongo, Shaluza Max Mtambo, and Sipho Gumede, to name a few.

His stage presence is vibrant and unique. Paras is currently working on completing his debut album which is a blend of Ubuntu Soul Africa and Ubuntu House Africa genre. His album will be jam packed with hits and will feature artists of a high calibre with the legendary Themba Mkhize, who is the co-producer with Nduduzo Makhathini .

His most notable performance to date was at the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz 2013 which took place in Johannesburg where he did "Ngaliwe" with Jazz Maestro, Themba Mkhize; and at National Arts Festival Grahamstown.

Join Paras Dlamini (vocals) presenting Ubuntu Soul Africa with Lungelo Ngcobo (piano), Qhubekani Mthethwa (bass), Sbu Zondi (drums), Menzi Mkhize (percussions) at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus on the 11 of May. Doors open at 17.30pm show starts at 18:00. R60 for general admission // R40 pensioners // R20 for students. Cash bar available. Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
