Ad hoc LECTURER Introductory Food Microbiology

The incumbent will be expected to teach and co-ordinate the practicals and tutorials in the module Micro 214 (Introductory Food Microbiology) during the second semester of 2015. This comprises 18 lectures, 6 tutorials, 18 practicals and the end of year module examination. Particular topics to be taught will include the Microbiology of Food and Water and Production Hygiene (Micro 214). Previous experience in teaching food microbiology and research level instruction in food microbiology is essential.
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader Professor Richard Beckett.
Minimum Requirements:
· MSc degree in Microbiology or a relevant closely related field
· Experience in teaching and research in a relevant field at tertiary level
