IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS IN UKZN RESIDENCES.

Kindly take note of the following procedure for 2015 registration:

·        Registration for residence will start on Monday the 26^th January 2015 for returning students, with the exception of Medical School.

·        2015 registration financial residence clearance amount will be R2750.00 (Initial Deposit)

·        You must be financially cleared (Own payment of fees, Financial Aid, Bursary) before you can register for accommodation.

·        Please note that students with outstanding debts from 2014 will not be admitted to the residence under any circumstances; ensure that you have paid all outstanding fees (including supplementary exam fees) before you come to campus.

·        Only students with no outstanding fees from the previous years will be allowed to occupy their rooms. The deadline date for payment of all outstanding fees is 23^rd January 2015. Students who have not settled outstanding fees by this date will forfeit their confirmation (spaces).

·        Fees are charged on a daily rate and not monthly basis. DSRA cannot allow students to stay in residence accommodation as a holding area for a short period of time before leaving for private and or alternate accommodation.

University residences are regarded as service extensions towards the academic life support to the University core business. Therefore, residences are committed in providing secured, comfortable spaces that maintain conducive living and learning environment.
