The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music, UKZN is proud to present the 26th Annual Jazz Jol featuring CAB and Unlocked Keys on Friday 28 November 2014 at 19:00.

This year, our Annual Jazz Jol is in association with The French Institute in South Africa and Alliance française de Durban.

CAB is the meeting of African, Caribbean and Brazilian music orchestrated by Martinican pianist Mario Canonge, Cameroonian singer and guitarist Blick Bassy and the talented young Brazilian percussionist Adriano Tenorio.

The opening band Unlocked keys is led by Sibusiso J Mashiloane. The name of the band, “Unlockedkeys” reflects a desire to transcend the boundaries of genre and style and create music without limits. Sibusiso Mashiloane introduced some of his compositions and arrangements of jazz standards in 2007 in his Honours year at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He not only received a distinction for his recital, but his band attracted more work for jazz festivals, competitions and other music opportunities.

 

Tickets are available for R120, R80 for Pensioners and Alliance Francaise members, + R60 For Students

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
