South African Survey of Student Engagement

Dear undergrad student,

Your university, in collaboration with the University of the Free State (UFS), is conducting research at universities across South Africa on student engagement levels (the extent to which conditions that matter to student success at university are present at your institution). We would like to know how you experience your campus. We ask you to complete this questionnaire, which asks you to report on the various activities you participate in on your campus.

Results from this study will be used to develop initiatives that help students to maximise their chances of success in higher education.

FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW AND STAND A CHANCE TO WIN ONE OF TEN R500 PRIZES!

*You may withdraw at any time, as there is no penalty for withdrawing or refusing to participate.

*All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Your personal information will only be used for classification purposes (this includes information on gender, race, and student number).

*The focus on group trends means that results will only report on group performance and not on individuals. Therefore, your individual performance remains confidential within the study.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?

Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
