Celebrate NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK at UKZN:

 

In celebration of National Science Week, the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science will be hosting two public events to which all are welcome.

 

On Tuesday 5 August there will be a Public Talk by UKZN PhD student, Kenda Knowles, titled:  ‘Astrophysics:  Recent Discoveries and Mysteries’.  Kenda is a member of UKZN’s Astrophysics and Cosmology Research Unit and a former pupil of Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School.  Her talk will range from developments such as 3D printing and ultrasounds to new (imaginary?) planets and triple black holes.  The venue is UKZN’s Science and Technology Education Centre (STEC) on the Westville Campus, and the time is 17h30 for 18h00.

 

On Wednesday 6 August there will be the Great UKZN Science Show-Off, a fun and entertaining science show for the whole family, featuring some of UKZN’s top scientists such as Dr ‘G’, aka Megan Govender, Dr Tanja Reinhardt and Mr Ajay Bissessur.  The venue is the G5 Lecture Theatre on the Westville Campus, and the time if 17h30 for 18h00.  Entry is free.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
