Dear recipient,
The
African Laser Centre(ALC) program is a Department of Science and
Innovation supported program and is managed and implemented by the CSIR
Photonics Centre. The ALC program at the CSIR herewith issue a call for
proposals for the ALC Knowledge Exchange Program, aimed at ALC
collaborators. The ALC Knowledge Exchange Program (KEP) is targeted at
Doctoral and Masters students, to spend a period of up to six months at a
collaborator to gain knowledge and experience from the host
collaborator, or to gain access to specialised research infrastructure
not available at the applicant's home institution. More detail on the
ALC Knowledge Exchange Program is available in the Call document
attached. The focus of the ALC KEP proposal should be specifically
targeted at a nominated post graduate student or young researcher to
visit a collaborator’s laboratories in order to receive specialised
training or knowledge transfer, with the goal to establish new
competencies at his or her home institution. General ALC Research Collaboration projects submitted under this call will not be considered.
The application has to be submitted by both the applicant institution as well as the host institution.
Please find attached the following:
