To honour Deaf Culture, and raise awareness about social inclusion and communication barriers, the Deaf students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal will be hosting a performing arts presentation for the University community. The event will be held at the Howard College Theatre on the 8^th of September 2023, from 10h00-12h30.

The event is also a collaborative effort with the University Language Planning and Development Office (ULPDO) being held in commemoration of Deaf Awareness Month (September). The 4 core values of Deaf Culture namely: identity formation; self-determination; information sharing; and full access to communication, will be showcased through story-telling, music, dance, and poetry.
