A vacancy has become available for a full-time student development officer in Student Support Services in the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science on the Pietermaritzburg campus. The incumbent will promote and enhance the holistic development of students and optimize the learning environment through the provision of student development, life skills and psychosocial education programmes to students in the College and in the Centre for Academic Success in Science and Engineering (CASSE). Furthermore, the incumbent will be expected to design, develop, implement and evaluate structured programmes to enhance student retention and student training programmes e.g. for peer wellness mentors, class representatives, student leaders etc. This is an externally funded position and its duration is based on the availability of funds, hence it is on indefinite fixed term.
