UKUVAMISA Book Launch
The University Language Planning and Development Office (ULPDO) & The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) cordially invite you to the UKUVAMISA BOOK LAUNCH.
To fulfil the mandate of developing and intellectualizing isiZulu, which is one of the official indigenous languages in the country and in the province, the ULPDO together with the Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) is proud to launch the Ukuvamisa book. The launch of Ukuvamisa book is ground-breaking for the UKZN’s ULPDO and PanSALB respectively in that it incorporated a wide range of topics that are integral to the holistic development of a language. The book is aimed at harmonising grey areas in the existing isiZulu orthography, translation and interpreting techniques and terminology processes.
This publication is indeed a great contribution to the furtherance of multilingualism in the entire country. The book could be used either as a guide for scholarly, academic or for any other purpose. In addition, one of the programmes of the ULPDO is to promote literature development, hence the launch. It is hoped that this partnership will grow from strength to strength and yield more publications in the near future.
