COVID-19: Impact on Academics @ UKZN - Research Questionnaire
Dear Colleague,

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has forced Higher Education Institutions internationally to adopt digital teaching and learning methods.

UKZN academics are invited to participate in this survey aimed at researching how academic staff at African Higher Education Institutions are coping, in times of the COVID-19 Pandemic, in relation to Technology adoption, Work from Home, Quality Assurance, and General Impact Issues.

The survey forms part of a collaborative research project between Dr Upasana G Singh, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa (singhup@ukzn.ac.za); and Prof Sid Nair, Victorian Institute of Technology, Australia.

Ethical approval for this study has been granted at the:

1. University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa as per Protocol Reference Number: HSSREC/00001284/2020 (attached) with Dr Upasana G Singh as Principal Investigator. Gatekeeper's consent is attached.

2. Victorian Institute of Technology, Australia with Prof Sid Nair as Co-Investigator.

It should only take 15 minutes to complete.

Your participation is completely voluntary and your identity, as well as that of your Institution, will be confidential.

This survey contains matrices which display better on a full size screen, so it is suggested you complete it on a desktop screen rather than a mobile.

The survey is available here

We look forward to your response by Sunday, 31st May 2020.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at singhup@ukzn.ac.za if you require any further information about this project.

We look forward to your participation.

Regards,
Dr Upasana Singh, Prof Sid Nair
