National Health Insurance Public Engagement: Does the White Paper Adequately Respond To SA’s Constitutional Human Rights
The Foundation for Human Rights in partnership with UKZN’s
School of Nursing and Public Health and the Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics,
University of the Witwatersrand cordially invites you to a Public Engagement event on the
National Health Insurance. The symposium will focus on the white paper on the
NHI.
The paper outlines the country’s path to universal health
coverage over 14 years and proposes changes in the role of private medical aids
and the National Health Laboratory Services among others. The forum will focus on
whether the paper adequately responds to South Africa’s Human Rights
Obligation.
