I am a PhD student at the College of Humanities, School of Applied Human Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. You are invited to participate in a research project entitled: The perceived impact of crime on students at institutions of higher learning: a case study at the University of  KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). The aim of this study is to get a holistic understanding of how crime affects students and how South African universities can rise to the challenge of redressing the gaps in safety and security, as a contributing factor to academic performance.
