2017 Student Recruitment at the HIV Pathogenesis Programme (HPP)
The HIV
Pathogenesis Programme (HPP) laboratory has opportunities for students who
are interested in pursuing a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) or Doctor of
Philosophy (PhD) degree by research. The laboratory is located at the Doris
Duke Medical Research Institute, Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine,
University of KwaZulu-Natal. Research projects are in the broad fields of HIV
and TB pathogenesis (immunology, virology, host/pathogen interaction). Our
laboratory emphasizes innovative exploratory research and training of
predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers. Students will be directly supervised
by faculty members, Dr Christina Tshabalala, Dr Michelle Gordon or Dr Zaza
Ndhlovu.
