The discipline of Linguistics in the School of Arts offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a wide spectrum of topics in Linguistics.
We invite applications for a contract lecturer position on the Howard College campus to teach in Semester 2, 2026 (01 July 2026 – 30 November 2026). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, undertake consultations with students, supervise Honours dissertations and contribute to administrative tasks within the discipline. All teaching will be done face to face.
Minimum Requirements:
· A Master’s degree in Linguistics
· Successful teaching/tutoring experience in Linguistics at university level
· Foundational knowledge in Syntax, Socio-, Psycho and Applied Linguistics
