DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM: 2026

Dear Colleagues

Doctoral students from all Colleges are invited to participate in 5th University of Mauritius Doctoral Colloquium, scheduled to take place from 8–10 July 2026 (hybrid format).

The University of KwaZulu-Natal has, over the past four years, built a strong and growing partnership with the University of Mauritius through this initiative. This collaboration has evolved into a valuable platform for joint academic engagement, with significant participation from UKZN doctoral candidates and leadership contributions from academic staff.

The 2026 Colloquium, themed “Doctoral Education for Sustainable Development, Enhanced Resilience, and Societal Impact,” will be held in a hybrid format and is open to doctoral students at all stages and across all disciplines. It offers an excellent opportunity for PhD students to present their research, receive expert feedback, and engage with an international scholarly community.

Key dates:

Supervisors are kindly requested to share this opportunity with their PhD students and encourage them to participate. Virtual participation is encouraged for UKZN students.

There is NO registration fee associated with participation.

Students who wish to travel to attend the event in person at the University of Mauritius are expected to fund their own travel.

Please see the attached flyer for more details.

For any queries, please get in touch with Prof Upasana Gitanjali Singh directly (Singhup@ukzn.ac.za)
