Join us as AMD3B Group 3 team.
We will be having such an awesome day of live performances, original compositions, ngisho wena Scathamiya, wena sishameni, all the way to Afro-soul.

Catch us on the 21st of November 2025, at Howard College Theatre, UKZN, from 12h15 to 15:15! We promise to feed your souls with good music.

Catch Zothani Ncwane, the Sishameni King; Ntuli Dumisani, iBhoza yeScathamiya; oh! Iqome kaMbhele madoda, the Percussionist; Thandiswa Zubane, the Queen of Ingoma and Gumboots; as well as Siphiwe Zwane, Umzansi and Isicathamiya gent.

Come join us as we celebrate the roots of our culture with Zothani, where tradition meets modernity by Dumisani, where there’s Vibrant African pieces by Zwane and jaive to rhythms of our home by MaZubane.

12h15 – Zothani Ncwane: “Roots of Our Culture”

Celebrate the roots of our culture with Zothani, the Sishameni King, as he takes us on a musical journey through the spirit and sound of our traditions.

 

13h00 – Dumisani “Dureh” Ntuli: “Tradition Meets Modernity”

Experience where tradition meets modernity with Dumisani Ntuli, iBhoza yeScathamiya, presenting a unique blend of African heritage and contemporary sound.

 

13h45 – Siphiwe Zwane: “Vibrant African Pieces”

Feel the rhythm of Vibrant African pieces by Siphiwe Zwane, showcasing Isicathamiya, Umaskandi, Isishameni, and Gumboot traditions.

 

14h30 – Thandiswa “MaZubane” Zubane: “Rhythms of Our Home”

End the day with MaZubane, the queen of Ingoma and Gumboots, as she makes us jaive to the rhythms of our home through powerful music and dance.

 

ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES

Zothani Ncwane

Ncwane Zothani is currently a UKZN final year student where he started his musical journey in 2022. He was once a proud member of Ikusasa Lethu group, which helped him to grow his passion and skills in music. Today he is actively involved in Imvunge the Musical, where he continues to develop as an artist and share his love for music with others.

 

Thandiswa “MaZubane” Zubane

Thandiswa Zubane, also known as MaZubane, is an African Music and Dance student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She loves African music and blends traditional sounds with modern styles. Thandiswa is passionate about her culture and shares it through music, aiming to inspire others with her unique sound and talent.

 

Dumisani “Dureh” Ntuli

Dumisani "Dureh" Ntuli is a passionate young musician from eShowe, KwaZulu-Natal. He began his musical love in his church choir and now studies African Music and Dance at UKZN since 2022. He has performed at venues like BAT Centre, Durban ICC and Sneddon Theatre, building a strong reputation as a versatile, dedicated and rising artist.

 

Siphiwe Zwane (“Narrator”)

Siphiwe Zwane, professionally known as “Narrator”, hails from Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal. He is highly skilled in African music genres like Isicathamiya and Umaskandi, as well as traditional dances including Isishameni and Gumboot. Siphiwe has performed with groups like Sicathamiya and Ikusasa Lethu at major events such as the Weenen Festival and the 2024 Global Artivism Conference. He is also a talented vocalist and backing singer.
