Andile Mnikathi is a musician, producer & educator in Durban. He started teaching himself to play the guitar & piano as a child and earned a scholarship to Clifton School for classical piano training & enrolled for vocal training at Vocal Vibes Performing Arts. 

He furthered his studies at the University of KwaZulu Natal, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Composition & Arranging. 

 

He went onto to open Gertrude & Ko (originally Gertrude’s   Kitchen Music Group), to serve as a holding company for his creative activity such as production & teaching.

 

As years progressed in his business journey, he was frustrated with his lack of financial education, especially when it comes to business, taxes & investment. This motivated him to study a diploma in Professional Bookkeeping & Accounting, which he completed in 2022. 

 

Coming from a teaching career, he is currently focusing on building his business, being a performing artist & assisting creatives & others to navigate their way around finances & wealth creation.
