The incumbent will provide general support to the technical team. S/he
will also be responsible for the general housekeeping and cleanliness in the
Mechanical workshop and Laboratories. The incumbent will assist the Technicians
concerning the cleaning of Equipment, manufacturing of Undergraduate and Postgraduate
projects, and the preparation of laboratory practicals. In some instances,
heavy manual labour is involved. The incumbent must be familiar with the Occupational
Health and Safety Act, ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are always
followed. S/he will also fulfil any other reasonable duties and
responsibilities as determined by management concerning the operational needs
of the School.
The incumbent will report to the Principal
Technician - Civil Engineering.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
/ NTC 3
·
One
(1) year of relevant work
experience, which must include:
-
Basic construction
-
Working in a lab/workshop or similar research
environment
