The
Research Office, College of Humanities, seeks to appoint 4 post-doctoral
fellows. The fellows will conduct research and drive technological innovation in
areas of digital humanities, AI, indigenous knowledge systems, and new
technologies in humanities and social sciences. In consultation with the College
Dean of Research and relevant stakeholders, the post-doctoral fellows will 1)
conduct research on the integration of indigenous/alternative healing methods
into the mainstream mental health services offered to students in tertiary
institutions, 2) assist with the college in training postgraduate students on
the ethical use of AI, 3) conduct research into the College’s various strategic
initiatives, 4) assist with the development of digital humanities signature
programmes and undertake appropriate research and write reports as and when
required. To advance their own professional development, fellows will be
expected to develop their own research niche areas during this period and to
attend the College’s Post-Doctoral programme.
