My name is Jerome Thokozani Mkhize. I am a Ph.D. student at the College of Law and Management Studies in the School of Management, Information Technology, and Governance at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). 

You are invited to consider participating in research on the analysis of the implementation of disability strategies in selected South African universities.

Aim of the study:

The study seeks to explore how Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in South Africa implement disability policies to accommodate differently-abled students (DAS), conventionally known as students with disabilities. 

Ethical Clearance for this study has been granted by UKZN as per Protocol Reference number HSSREC/00004799/2022 as attached to this email. This study is supervised by Professor F.A. Ruffin in the School of Management, Information Technology, and Governance at the UKZN, Westville Campus.

Participation in this study involves:

-Semi-structured interview that will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes

-The completion of a 16-minute questionnaire
