The Ensembl project provides researchers with a comprehensive and integrated annotation source of mainly vertebrate genome sequences, www.ensembl.org. DIPLOMICS and the Ensembl team aim to provide basic training on Ensembl tools (Ensembl genome browser and Ensembl REST API) targeting both beginner and advanced researchers across different regions of South Africa.
The 1-day workshops will be held at the following provinces and institutes:
25 September: Univeristy of KwaZulu-Natal, Kwazulu-Natal Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform, Durban
Ensembl REST API
*Pre-requisite: R, python or perl coding skills.
26 September: University of KwaZulu-Natal, Kwazulu-Natal Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform, Durban
