FIXED TERM APPOINTMENT till DECEMBER 2024

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING HOWARD COLLEGE CAMPUS

The incumbent will provide technical support to the School by maintaining electronic/computer instruments and repairing failed electronic/computer laboratory equipment in service. S/he will be responsible for the development, design, construction, and installation of both analogue and digital electronic/computer equipment for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as research and academic staff in the Discipline of Computer Engineering. S/he will provide technical expertise and advice to staff and students, and recommend appropriate materials and equipment for project manufacturing.  Assist with sourcing quotations for these materials and equipment. The incumbent must be able to program open-source development boards such as Arduino and Rasberri pi. The incumbent must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

 

The incumbent with also fulfil any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as determined by management with regard to the operational needs of the School.

 

The incumbent will report to the Principal Technician. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

·      Matric plus NTC4/Higher with relevant Trade Test or a relevant three-year qualification

·      Four (4) years relevant experience

·      Experience with design and manufacturing in Computer Engineering.

·      Experience in MS Office.

·      A valid unendorsed driver’s license.

 

Short-listed candidates will be required to undergo a skills test.
