AMIT RAMDATH
Amit Ramdath is an Entrepreneur, Engineer and the CEO of AutonoSky who has founded and driven multiple ventures
since launching Byte Orbit in 2003. In 2020, he started AutonoSky which redefines interactions for sectors ranging from
rescue services to commercial applications. Amit has also founded other ventures, including Dine4Six, Neda Hygiene,
ImpressMe, and Frontier Lab, each contributing to different facets of technology and innovation. His technical expertise
spans software development, drone piloting, and UAV technology.
ANAS AL-HAMATI
Anas Al-Hamati is a Deputy Director of the Gift of the Givers Foundation who holds over a decade of experience as
a project manager in the humanitarian field. Anas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French literature from the Faculty of
Arts at the University of Sana’a (Yemen), a postgraduate degree in management practice from Henley Business School
(Johannesburg, South Africa) and an MBA in business administration from the University of Reading, UK and is soon
graduating from the International Christian University (Tokyo, Japan) with an MA in Peace Studies, specializing in “The
Impact of State Fragility on Instability and conflict: Development Acceleration Strategies for Reforming Fragile States’.
Anas has successfully facilitated negotiations for the release of hostages held by militant groups in Mali, Syria, and
Yemen, which includes the release of Al-Qaeda captive Yolande Korkie in Yemen.
JOHAN MINNIE
Johan Minnie is the Manager (Head of Centre): City of Cape Town Disaster Risk Management Centre. The professional
holds 31 years of South African and international experience in dealing with the multidisciplinary planning and execution
of risk reducing, resilience enhancing, and response coordination activities. Johan has managed and participated in
risk and resilience projects in all spheres of government as well as in the conservation, transport (road, rail, maritime
and aviation), energy (nuclear, coal and solar), petrochemical (onshore and offshore, exploration to retail), industrial (rail
engineering and manufacturing) and commercial (retail, office, leisure) sectors. His experience ranges from parts of
South Africa and further expands to Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Abu Dhabi and Dubai
in the UAE, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia before again focusing on his favourite place in the world,
Cape Town.
